Volta ao Porto just ended, and Ko did not perform as expected...
An average start of the tour for Ko quickly became a poor end... but what did really happen?
Our manager had put all the team in support for Ko, he was in great shape and he was the best sprinter of the bunch, but the victories did not arrive... actually, at stage 8 Ko was put in the front of the bunch by our train in perfect position only to look like he was braking in the last few meters and get an humiliating 13th place.
Everything became clear... that was on purpose!
For the last stage Germano Boaventura was told to support Ko, but keep a few energy reserves to follow him in the last meters. Again, Ko was in the front for the sprint but gave it away, behind him came the exhausted Boaventura that still claimed the victory.
Finally Ko had to explain himself, and he did:
"I am very ashamed of what I did... very sory... but signup for Mito - Tokyo opens day 27! Me wants to be there!
I'm wining too much, team is wining too much... at this pace I have no chance to win Mito - Tokyo because we'll be in Top division! Please hold the team, me asks not to win... ok?"
Ko's request has been rejected, and Germano Boaventura is expected to place Lusitano at the Top division by the end of Tournai - Mons, due tomorrow.

Élvio Aguiar is also a great rider, wish I had money for him too
CycleMotor has a whole lot of riders on the TL. I bought Farias. He is down to 9 riders now. He is going to have to buy a few riders to sell the rest.
Freitas is a great buy.
Yakkity Yak. See you at Tournai-Mons :-)
:)
Ah. This explains Ko's failing. At least he proved he has the most important characteristic aspect in him to succeed as a world class sprinter: egoism!
